Chemical Name: CONJUGATED ESTROGENS (ESS-troe-jenz)

Premarin is a TABLET but CANNOT be split in half.

Premarin is a female hormone and given to women who do not produce the proper amount. It is used to reduce menopausal symptoms.

Cautions:
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication includes breast pain, fast heartbeat, fever, hives, hoarseness, increased breast size, irritation of skin, joint pain, stiffness or swelling, rash, redness of skin, shortness of breath, swelling of eyelids, face lips , hands or feet, tightness in chest, troubled breathing or swallowing, weight gain and wheezing.
