Description:
Chemical Name: Follitropin alfa (fol-li-TROE-pin AL-fa)

Gonal F is a hormone identical to follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) produced by the pituitary gland. FSH helps to develop eggs in the ovaries. Gonal F is used as a fertility medicine to develop eggs in women who have not been able to become pregnant because of problems in ovulation.

SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medicine includes pulmonary and vascular complications, ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome, adnexaltorsion, mild to moderate ovarian enlargement, abdominal pain, ovarian cysts, gastrointestinal symptoms, pain, rash, swelling and/or irritation at the site of injection, breast tenderness, headache and dermatological symptoms.
