Description:
Chemical Name: Etidronate (eh-tih-DROE-nate) and Calcium (KAL-see-um)

Didrocal therapy is indicated for the prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women who are at risk of developing osteoporosis. Risk factors commonly associated with the development of postmenopausal osteoporosis include early menopause, moderately low bone mass, thin body build, Caucasian or asian race and family history or osteoporosis. The presence of such risk factors may be important when considering the use of didrocal therapy for prevention of osteoporosis. The didrocal therapy is also indicated for the prevention of corticosteroid induced osteoporosis.
