Description:
Chemical Name: Hydrocortisone (hye-droe-KOR-ti-sone)

Emocort is used to help relieve redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort of many skin problems. This medicine is like cortisone. It belongs to the general family of medicines called steroids.

Directions:
should be applied to the affected area in a thin film not more than 3 or 4 times a day. Your doctor may also suggest to apply only 1 to 2 times a day. Take care not to get this medication in your eyes. Wash your hands after applying the medication. Do not wrap the area where the medication has been applied so that it can breathe, unless instructed to do so by your doctor. Use this medication for a maximum of 7 days. If symptoms persist longer than 7 days, consult a doctor.

Cautions:
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication includes dryness, itching, burning, local irritation, change in pigmentation and secondary infection.
