Description:
This medicine is a scabicide used to treat lice or scabies.

Ingredients:
LINDANE (LIN-dane)

Directions:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. THIS MEDICINE COMES with a patient information leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine. SHAKE WELL before using. IF YOU ARE APPLYING THIS MEDICINE TO THE ENTIRE BODY, apply from the neck down. Apply a thin layer of medicine to dry skin and rub in completely. Be sure to cover the palms of your hands and the soles of your feet. Allow the medicine to remain on your skin for 8 to 12 hours. Then, bathe or shower to remove all of the medicine. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light.

Cautions:
DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or use this medicine for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor. AVOID GETTING THIS MEDICINE in your eyes or on the inside of your nose or mouth. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE on cuts or broken skin. IF YOU ARE APPLYING THIS MEDICINE TO ANOTHER PERSON, wear rubber gloves. ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD (including your sexual partner) are usually treated because this condition spreads by personal contact. Wash linens, clothes, and towels in hot water or dry clean them to prevent recurrence. FOR WOMEN: THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
