Description:
This drug is used in the treatment of hyperkinetic movement disorders such as Huntington's chorea, Hemiballismus, Senile Chorea, Tic and Gille's de la Tourette Syndrome and Tardive Dyskinesia. Tetrabenazine is not indicated for the treatment of levodopa-induced dyskinetic/choreiform movements. Tetrabenazine should only be used by (or in consultation with) physicians who are experienced in the treatment of hyperkinetic movement disorders.

Cautions:
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication include depression, drowsiness, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and low blood pressure.
