Description:
This medicine is a keratolytic agent with antibacterial actions used to treat acne.

Ingredients:
benzoyl peroxide gel 5%. Alcohol base for oily skin

Directions:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor or on the package. TO USE THE GEL WASH: wet the affected area. Use your hands to apply the medicine and gently wash. Rinse with water and pat dry. Wash your hands after using this medicine. TO USE THE GEL: wash and completely dry the affected area. Gently rub the medicine in until it is evenly distributed. Wash your hands after using this medicine. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.

Cautions:
SEVERAL WEEKS MAY PASS before you see improvement in your acne. Continue to use this medicine for the full time recommended by your doctor. If your acne does not improve or if it gets worse, check with your doctor. AVOID GETTING THIS MEDICINE in your eyes, on the inside of your nose or mouth, or on your lips. If you get this medicine in your eyes, immediately wash them out with cool tap water. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER MEDICINES, special cleansers, aftershave, or cosmetics on your skin without checking with your doctor. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE increased sensitivity to the sun. Avoid exposure to the sun or sunlamps until you know how you react to this medicine. THIS MEDICINE MAY BLEACH HAIR and colored fabric. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
