Description
Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medication used to treat a variety of pain conditions. It is indicated to treat rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, dysmenorrhea pain, and ankylosing spondylitis.
Ketoprofen works by inhibiting the enzymes COX-1 and COX-2, resulting in less inflammation and anti-fever effects.
Directions
The Ketoprofen dosage ranges from 75-300 mg by mouth per day. The dose is divided into 3-4 doses.
Do not change your dosage without speaking with your doctor first.
Generally, Ketoprofen should only be used for a short period.

Cautions
Do not use other NSAIDs while on this medication, including ibuprofen, naproxen, or prescription NSAIDs. Only use aspirin if directed by your doctor.
Ketoprofen should be used for the shortest time possible at the lowest effective dose.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, fluid retention, or heart failure.
