Cromolyn Sodium belongs to the group of anti-inflammatory agents which are mast cell stabilizers and are used in the treatment of asthma. Cromolyn sodium medicine helps in the prevention of asthma attacks. In addition, it relieves wheezing, chest tightness and trouble in breathing when exercising or due to the presence of pollutants in the air or exposure to certain chemicals. It acts by preventing the release of certain chemicals from mast cells which cause bronchospasm, leading to the symptoms associated with asthma.
Cromolyn sodium nebule should be used with a nebulizer. A nebulizer is a gadget through which metered dose of the drug is discharged into the lungs of the patient through a mask or a mouthpiece.

Directions
