What is a Generic Drug?
A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.
The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is that generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (eg. different shape or color), as trademarks laws prevent a generic from looking exactly like the brand-name drug.
Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to develop a drug. When the brand-name patent expires, generic companies can manufacture a copy of the brand-name and sell it at a substantial discount.

Description
Myoflex Pain Relief Cream For Aches and Pain:
Odorless, greaseless pain relief. Relieves arthritis/sore muscles. Uses For the temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with arthritis, strains and sprains, and simple backache.
Directions
Adults and children 2 years of age and older: Apply to affected area not more than three to four times a day. Affected areas may be wrapped loosely with two- or three-inch elastic bandage. Children under 2 years: Ask a doctor.
Ingredients
Trolamine Salicylate (aka Triethanolamine Salicylate) Maximum Strength 20%, Extra Strength 15%
Inactive Ingredients Cetyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Propylene Glycol, Purified Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Stearyl Alcohol, White Wax
Cautions
For external use only. Do not use on or near eyes, on irritated skin or if excessive irritation develops. Stop use and ask a doctor if condition worsens, or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health care professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away. Store at controlled room temperature 20-25°C (68-77°F). Close cap tightly.
Side Effects
Most people who have used this product have not experienced any serious side effects.
However if you experience any of the follow side effects make sure to stop taking this medication right away and speak with your doctor.
