    Stiolto Respimat contains an anticholinergic, tiotropium bromide, and a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist, olodaterol. These are medicines that help open up the muscles around your airways, allowing you to breathe better.

    Stiolto Respimat should not be used for acute deterioration of COPD.

    Stiolto Respimat is available in an inhalation spray. Each spray provides 2.5 mcg of tiotropium and 2.5 mcg of olodaterol. 

    The recommended dosage for Stiolto Respimat is to inhale two puffs by mouth once daily. Use at the same time each day.

    Ingredients

    The active ingredients in Stiolto Respimat are tiotropium bromide, an anticholinergic, and olodaterol, a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist. 

    The inactive ingredients include water for injection, benzalkonium chloride, edetate disodium, and hydrochloric acid.

    Contraindications

    Do not use Stiolto Respimat without an inhaled corticosteroid if you have asthma.

    Do not use Stiolto Respimat if you have an allergy to tiotropium, ipratropium, olodaterol, or any ingredient in Stiolto Respimat.

    Cautions

    • Before you begin treatment with Stiolto Respimat, be sure to discuss the following with your doctor:

    • Using Stiolto Respimat with other medications that have long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonists can cause serious and potentially life-threatening cardiovascular problems.
    • Stop taking Stiolto Respimat and seek emergency care immediately if you experience swelling, itching, rash, bronchospasm, trouble breathing, or other effects. These could be signs and symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.
    • Stiolto Respimat has the potential to cause paradoxical bronchospasm that may be fatal. 
    • Caution should be used if you have cardiovascular or convulsive problems, thyroid problems, or if you cannot tolerate sympathomimetic drugs. 
    • Stiolto Respimat can worsen glaucoma. Caution should be used if you have glaucoma.
    • Stiolto Respimat can worsen urinary retention. Caution should be used if you have prostatic hyperplasia or bladder-neck obstruction.
    • Stiolto Respimat can cause low potassium and high blood glucose levels. 

    Side Effects

    Nasopharyngitis, cough, and back pain are the most common side effects associated with Stiolto Respimat; however, these are not all the side effects that can occur with its use. Contact your doctor immediately if worsening or continuous side effects occur.
