Viramune (Nevirapine)
Chemical Name: Nevirapine (ne-VYE-ra-peen)
Viramune is an orally administered medication used for the treatment and prevention of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection in patients with or without Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). It is specifically recommended for patients, usually adults and children above the age of 6 years, with HIV-1, and is used with a combination of other antiretroviral medications. The medicine is also used during pregnancy to prevent the transmission of HIV from the mother to the baby.

Directions
