Description
Cardura XL is a prescription medication in the drug class alpha-1 blockers. It contains the active ingredient doxazosin, which relaxes the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, easing the symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Cardura XL is an extended-release tablet that provides slow and steady release of the medication over a 24-hour period.
Directions
Cardura XL is used for the treatment of:
- Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): The usual starting dose is 1 mg once daily. Your doctor may increase the dose every 1-2 weeks to a maximum of 8 mg once daily.
- Hypertension: The starting dosage is 1 mg once daily. The dose may be increased to a maximum of 16 mg once daily.

Cautions
