    Description

    Dificid is a prescription C. difficile associated diarrhea treatment medication that is used to limit the severity of diarrhea and reduce the frequency of it by clearing the bacterial infection in the intestine. Fidaxomicin is in the macrolide antibiotic class of drugs and it works by stopping the growth of bacteria so that chronic diarrhea along with symptoms like stomach pain and blood or mucus in the stool are minimized and do not last as long.
