    Description

    Rexulti (brexpiprazole) is classified as an atypical antipsychotic used as an adjunctive therapy to antidepressants to treat major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults and for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and pediatric patients who are at least 13 years old.

    Rexulti is available in 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 2 mg, 3 mg, and 4 mg tablets.

    Do not take Rexulti if you are allergic to Brexpiprazole or any of the other ingredients in Rexulti. Discuss your allergies with your doctor.

    WARNING: INCREASED MORTALITY IN ELDERLY PATIENTS WITH DEMENTIA-RELATED PSYCHOSIS and SUICIDAL THOUGHTS AND BEHAVIORS

    • Elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis treated with antipsychotic drugs are at increased risk of death. REXULTI is not approved for the treatment of patients with dementia-related psychosis.
    • Antidepressants increased the risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in patients aged 24 years and younger. Monitor for clinical worsening and emergence of suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Safety and effectiveness of REXULTI have not been established in pediatric patients with MDD.


    Once you are prescribed and buy Rexulti, Rexulti may cause neuroleptic malignant syndrome that can cause death. Seek medical care right away if you develop a high fever, breathing problems, blood pressure changes, changes in heart rate, stiff muscles, confusion, or sweating.

    Rexulti can cause uncontrolled movements of your face, tongue, or other parts of the body, even after you stop taking it.

    Tell your doctor if you have diabetes. Rexulti can cause high blood sugar. Contact your doctor if you have excessive thirst or hunger, feel sick to your stomach, need to urinate more frequently, feel weak or tired, feel confused, or your breath smells fruity.

    Rexulti can cause increased cholesterol and triglycerides.

    This medication can cause weight gain. You should monitor your weight while being treated with Rexulti.

    Rexulti can cause compulsive urges. Talk to your doctor if you have unusual urges.

    Rexulti can cause low white blood cell counts.

    Tell your doctor if you have blood pressure problems. Rexulti can cause a sudden drop in your blood pressure upon standing.

    This medication can make you feel sleepy or dizzy, cause your blood pressure to drop, or slow your thinking and motor skills that can cause you to fall and develop fractures or other injuries.

    Tell your doctor if you have seizures. Rexulti can increase your risk for seizures.

    Tell your doctor about any medications you take, including prescription and over-the-counter.
