More serious, though less common, side effects can include stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding, especially in the elderly. Serious adverse reactions can also involve the kidneys, liver, and heart with symptoms such as swelling in the legs, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or an unusually rapid heartbeat. Severe allergic reactions, such as difficulty breathing, severe rashes, or swelling of the face and throat, may occur. If you experience any of these serious side effects, seek immediate medical attention.
