    The Atectura Breezhaler is a prescription asthma inhaler used for obstructive airway disease treatment for adults and adolescents. It is an asthma maintenance inhaler that is used on a regular and consistent basis to reduce the frequency and severity of asthma attacks when a person has an obstructed airway, and the active ingredient in the medication - Indacaterol - is part of adrenoceptor agonist class of medications and works as a bronchodilator to provide asthma relief by relaxing the bronchial smooth muscle so that the airway into the lungs remain more open.

    Directions

    Standard dosage is one capsule, 1x a day and the dose should be inhaled at the same time each day for best results with managing OAD asthma.

    Cautions

    Asthma medication for use with ages 12 and up only.

    Tell your doctor if you have any history of heart problems, irregular heartbeat, thyroid gland problems, diabetes, high blood sugar, seizures, low blood potassium, liver problems, tuberculosis of the lung, or any long-standing or untreated infections before starting on the Atectura Breezhaler.

    Medication may reduce serum potassium levels.

    Interactions
