Description
Bevespi Aerosphere Inhalation Aerosol is a combination medication containing an anticholinergic, glycopyrrolate, a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA), and formoterol fumarate.
Bevespi Aerosphere is used as maintenance treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Bevespi Aerosphere is available as a pressurized metered dose inhaler for inhalation by mouth. Follow the instructions that come with your prescription.
The dose for maintenance treatment of COPD is 2 puffs by mouth twice daily.
Each puff delivers 9 mcg glycopyrrolate and 4.8 mcg of formoterol fumarate.
Ingredients
The active ingredients in Bevespi Aerosphere are micronized glycopyrrolate and micronized formoterol fumarate.
Contraindications
Do not use a LABA without an inhaled corticosteroid if you have asthma.
Discuss your allergies with your doctor. Do not use Bevespi Aerosphere if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Cautions
- Talk to your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you take, including vitamins and herbal supplements.
- Do not use Bevespi Aerosphere as a rescue inhaler.
- Using Bevespi Aerosphere with other medications that contain a LABA can increase your risk for overdose.
- Seek medical attention immediately if you develop worsening breathing problems, need to use your rescue inhaler more frequently, or your rescue inhaler doesn't fully relieve your symptoms.
- Seek medical attention immediately if you develop sudden breathing trouble after using Bevespi Aerosphere.
- Tell your doctor if you have heart problems or high blood pressure. Contact your doctor right away if you experience a fast or irregular heartbeat, blood pressure problems, or chest pain during treatment with Bevespi Aerosphere.
- Tell your doctor if you have glaucoma or other eye problems. Contact your doctor right away if you experience eye pain, vision problems, nausea, vomiting, or eye redness during treatment with Bevespi Aerosphere.
- Tell your doctor if you have prostatic hyperplasia or bladder-neck obstruction. Contact your doctor right away if you experience trouble urinating, pain when urinating, frequent urination, or urinating in weak streams or drips during treatment with Bevespi Aerosphere.
- Bevespi Aerosphere can cause:
- low potassium levels in the blood: muscle cramps, muscle twitches, irregular heartbeat
- high blood sugar
- Tell your doctor if you have convulsive disorders, thyroid problems, diabetes, or ketoacidosis.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
- Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Bevespi Aerosphere include cough and urinary tract infection. Tell your doctor right away if you develop side effects that are bothersome or persistent.
