Description

Hypertension is a chronic condition where high blood pressure can slowly damage the various organs of the body. Edarbi is an angiotensin II receptor blocker that lowers blood pressure to treat hypertension.
Angiotensin II is a protein in the blood that increases blood pressure. Edarbi blocks this protein to keep blood pressure low.

Directions
Take Edarbi exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The starting dose of Edarbi is 40 mg by mouth once daily with or without food. The dose may be increased to 80 mg once daily if needed. Take Edarbi at the same time each day.

Cautions
Edarbi can increase the risk of high potassium levels. Your doctor will monitor your potassium while you take this medication.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of angioedema, or swelling under the skin, before starting this drug. Edarbi can worsen angioedema in some people.
