Description
Emgality is a prescription migraine headache medication that works to reduce the number of days a person experiences migraines each month, with these days called migraine days. Emgality only needs to be taken as an injection once a month, but it has the potential for significant reductions in monthly migraine days for users. Directions
Administer 1 Emgality injection at the same time each month.
Leave Emgality pen at room temperature for 30 minutes before your injection.
Select an injection site - buttocks / abdomen (excluding 2" radius around navel) / front of thighs (at least 2 inches above the knee and 2 inches below the groin) / back of upper arms.
Uncap the pen by twisting off base cap and discard it. Do not put the base cap back on.
Place the clear base flat and firmly at the injection site and unlock the pen.
Press and hold the teal button and listen for an audible click sound. Keep holding the pen against your skin for 10 seconds after the first click sound is heard.
Wait to hear a second click sound, and once heard this indicates the Emgality injection is complete.

Cautions

Doses loaded into pen (with first "click") must be injected at that time. Medication doses will spoil if you allow them to remain loaded into the pen but not injected.

Interactions
