Description
Grifulvin V is a prescription medication used to treat dermatophyte infections, a type of fungal infection of the skin. Other terms for this condition include dermatophytosis or tinea, which affect the nails, hair, and skin.
Symptoms of dermatophyte infection depend on where they are located and can include rashes, scaling, and itching.
Grifulvin V works by stopping the growth and replication of fungal cells. Grifulvin V also binds to keratin in human skin, making it resistant to fungal infection.
