    Description

    Imunovir is a medication used to treat herpes simplex virus, genital warts, and subacute sclerosing panencephalitis.

    Imunovir is available in 500 mg oral tablets.

    Ingredients

    Imunovir contains Inosine Acedoben Dimepranol.

    Inactive ingredients include povidone, mannitol, wheat starch, and magnesium stearate.

    Contraindications

    Cautions

    • Before you begin treatment with Imunovir, tell your doctor:

    • Imunovir can increase uric acid levels.
    • Hypersensitivity reactions, including hives, angioedema (swelling), and anaphylaxis can occur. Seek emergency care right away if you have trouble breathing; swelling of your face, lips, or tongue; a rash; or any other sign or symptom of an allergic reaction.
    • Imunovir contains wheat starch, which has very low levels of gluten that is highly unlikely to cause problems in patients with celiac disease. However, if you are allergic to wheat (different from celiac disease), you should avoid taking Imunovir.

    Side Effects

    Headache, dizziness, vomiting, nausea, stomach discomfort, rash, itching, fatigue, increased uric acid levels, and increased liver enzymes are common Imunovir side effects.
