What is a Generic Drug?

A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use.     Description

    Oxistat (oxiconazole nitrate) Cream, 1% is a topical medication used to treat certain fungal infections, including Athlete’s foot, jock itch, and ringworm.

    Oxiconazole nitrate is the Oxistat Cream generic.

    Directions

    Use Oxistat Cream as directed by your doctor. The recommended dosage is to apply the cream to the affected area(s) one to two times a day. Your doctor will tell you how much and for how long you should use the cream.

    Do not apply the cream to the eyes or vagina. Do not use occlusive dressings unless your doctor has instructed you to do so.
