Description
Uzedy (risperidone) is an atypical antipsychotic medication used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder (maintenance) in adults. This monthly injection releases the medication over time and is thought to relieve symptoms by blocking certain brain receptors, especially dopamine (D2) and serotonin (5-HT2) receptors. However, its exact mechanism of action isn’t fully understood. You can buy Uzedy injection from Canada Pharmacy with a valid prescription from your healthcare provider.

Directions
Uzedy isn’t an at-home treatment and must be administered by a healthcare professional. After ensuring you tolerate the medication by prescribing oral risperidone, your doctor will inject Uzedy under the skin in your abdomen or upper arm. Uzedy dosing depends on the condition being treated and may be adjusted if you have kidney or liver problems.
Schizophrenia:
Patients typically receive the first Uzedy injection the day after their last oral dose:
- Oral 2 mg (daily) ? Uzedy 50 mg (monthly) or 100 mg (every two months)
- Oral 3 mg (daily) ? Uzedy 75 mg (monthly) or 150 mg (every two months)
- Oral 4 mg (daily) ? Uzedy 100 mg (monthly) or 200 mg (every two months)
- Oral 5 mg (daily) ? Uzedy 125 mg (monthly) or 250 mg (every two months)
If your Uzedy dosing schedule changes from monthly to every 2 months, the first dose under the new schedule is given at the next scheduled injection date.
Bipolar I Disorder Maintenance:
After your doctor has ensured that your body tolerates oral risperidone, Uzedy is given once monthly, either alone or with lithium or valproate.
- Oral 2 mg (daily) ? Uzedy 50 mg (monthly)
- Oral 3 mg (daily) ? Uzedy 75 mg (monthly)
- Oral 4 mg (daily) ? Uzedy 100 mg (monthly)
If switching from a risperidone long-acting intramuscular (IM) injection, start Uzedy at least 5 weeks after the last IM dose:
- IM 25 mg (every 2 weeks) ? 50 mg (monthly)
- IM 37.5 mg (every 2 weeks) ? 75 mg (monthly)
- IM 50 mg (every 2 weeks) ? 100 mg (monthly)
Ingredients
