Description
Livdelzi is a prescription medication used to help manage a chronic liver condition called primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) in adults. It’s used primarily when standard first-line treatments are insufficient or poorly tolerated.
PBC causes small bile ducts in the liver to become damaged and inflamed, which leads to the buildup of bile and liver injury. Livdelzi addresses this issue by reducing bile-related inflammation. This may result in improved biochemical markers (e.g. ALP), reduced ongoing liver irritation, and overall symptom improvement.
