Description
Woundgard antiseptic bitterant spray is recommended for use in cats and dogs with wounds, especially after surgery to protect sutures and prevent infections. For example, this may be the case after castrations, spays, and other minor surgical procedures. It's also used in dogs and cats with eczema, dermatoses, or granuloma. The product may also offer antifungal activity.
Woundgard discourages licking and chewing of the area and may provide a cooling effect to soothe discomfort. Its antiseptic ingredient (chlorhexidine) kills bacteria to help prevent infection, while menthol and eucalyptus oil help clean and freshen the area. Finally, Wound-Gard Antiseptic Bitterant Spray provides a protective layer on the skin that aids wound healing.
